This August you can join us for another immersive audiovisual experiences during Meandry Festival. On 7th August, Shepherds of Cats and VJ Pietrushka present ARRHYTHMUS, an experimental audiovisual performance that reinterprets the pioneering works of absolute film by Hans Richter, Viking Eggeling, and Walter Ruttmann through the language of contemporary live improvisation.Inspired by the iconic abstract films of the 1920s, the project transforms their precise visual structures into an evolving dialogue between sound, light, moving image, and spontaneous artistic interaction. More on this project you can read here. Following day, the group will present their classic audiovisual performance combining live improvised music with Maciej Piątek’s original video sculptures and visual compositions (Maciakany). Created entirely in real time, the performance unfolds through an ongoing dialogue between sound and image. Organic visual forms, light, and movement merge with spontaneous musical improvisation, creating an immersive experience that is unique with every presentation. This is an invitation to encounter experimental audiovisual art at its most immediate—dynamic, unpredictable, and deeply collaborative—perfectly reflecting the spirit of Meandry Festival and its commitment to artistic exploration beyond traditional boundaries.
